The moment we’ve been waiting for! ‘Game of Thrones’ will start filming next month in a new location that gives us a hint into what will be in store for Daenerys Targaryen.
If you’ve read book three, A Storm of Swords, then you know that Daenerys’ storyline picks up steam as she continues her quest to claim the Iron Throne. The fact that they are going to start filming in Morocco is no surprise. :
Also announced by HBO are next season’s directors and returning writers. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will get behind the camera in season three to direct episodes. Alex Graves, Michelle MacLaren, Dan Minahan, David Nutter and Alik Sakharov will direct episodes as well.
Along with Benioff and Weiss, writers returning include: Bryan Cogman, George R.R. Martin and Vanessa Taylor.
Scenes will still be filmed in Croatia, Northern Ireland, and Iceland, indicating that Jon Snow and the Night’s Watch will still be in some frigid conditions with those wights and The Others. What I am interested in is whether or not the writers will learn from season 2, and go back to the best formula, which they had in season 1. But that’s just me.
