Yes!  More ‘Avengers’ footage will be coming our way in the new short film ‘Item 47′ debuting at SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) 2012.  The poster has been released on the internet giving us a glimpse at what we might be in for.  Check it out!

 The film follows two thieves (Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford) who happen across one of the alien spaceships after the epic battle we saw in the ‘Avengers’.  They basically take the ship and use it to run wild and keep robbing people.  Two S.H.I.E.L.D agents are dispatched to handle them and therein lies the short.

Item 47 follow a couple of young thieves, played by Lizzy Caplan (Party Down) and Jesse Bradford (Flags of Our Fathers), who happen across an alien weapon left over from theAvengers‘ battle in New York. Once they get it working, they use the weapon to hit some banks and make some cash.

Of course, a pair of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are on the case, with Titus Welliver (Lost) and Maximiliano Hernández (Thor) in hot pursuit to recover the lost item.

If you aren’t at SDCC this year, then have no fear.  ‘Item 47′ will be included in the  upcoming ‘Avengers’ Blu-ray.
