Bill Murray reprising his role as Dr. Peter Venkman? #NerdBye! While they figure that out, however, Murray has managed to sign on to give voice to Baloo, the infamously cool singing bear, in Jon Favreau’s animated/live-action movie The Jungle Book (Disney). I just want to know if he’s going to be singing “The Bare Necessities”… Because that is important, damn it.
Murray is joins Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Walken, Lupita Nyong’o, my future ex-baby father Idris Elba, and a host of other awesome, talented individuals.
On a related side note, Paul Feig is working hard to get Ghostbusters 3 off the ground, especially since Murray has distanced himself from the project, by pitching it with a potentially all-female cast. At first I thought it sounded absolutely ridiculous, but now that I think about it, it should definitely on the table. With the passing of Harold Ramis (RIP), it’s probably good to start fresh. It wouldn’t work without him. I’m just saying.
