After debuting Wolverine Anime and Iron Man Anime over the summer, G4 will now debut Blade Anime on January 13th. Even though the response to Wolverine and Iron Man seemed to be mixed or lukewarm at best, G4 will try their luck again with Blade. This is not too new. It was originally shown over the summer online, but for those of us on the late bus, G4 is giving us the chance. Here’s a bit of background to the series and a trailer.
“Blade’s mother was bitten by a vampire while pregnant, imbuing her unborn son with vampire strength and a thirst for blood, but without the vulnerability to sunlight. A master of weaponry with a desire to avenge the death of his mother, Blade finds himself in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia in an effort to take down the evil villain, Deacon Frost. With vampire hunter Makoto at his side, they will stop at nothing to destroy Existence, a vampire organization with roots deeply embedded in Asia.”
Looks good! I couldn’t get into Wolverine or Iron Man because they are characters I’m not a real big fan of, so I didn’t kill myself to try and watch. With that said, I really like Blade so I’ll be watching to see if it’s any better.
