Evil Ass Damien Heads to Lifetime in THE OMEN Reboot – GeekMundo

In one of the most unlikely pairings I’ve ever seen, Lifetime and former The Walking Dead producer Glen Mazzara have partnered to bring us Damien, that reboot of The Omen you may (or may not) have wanted, in 2015.  This time, however, he’s all grown up:

Produced by Fox Television Studios and based on Twentieth Century Fox’s classic horror film, “The Omen,” the series follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 motion picture who has grown up, seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist, the most feared man throughout the ages.

This has to be done well.  These types of shows about the devil and such don’t last long if they aren’t executed with the right type of dread and horror.  ABC’s 666 Park Avenue, which was promptly cancelled after one season, is a perfect example.  I’m sure they’ll be just fine with Mazzara at the helm.  He does have TWD under his belt.
