The 10 minute gameplay walkthrough video for Far Cry Primal is probably going to turn many doubters into believers once they get a look at what they can do as a beast master. Oros is a hard place to live and conquer, not just because of the beasts, but because of the humans. But if you can tame beasts and summon them to your side, you’ll have allies that are way more valuable than any gun or weapon you could have ever used or needed in previous Far Cry games. Well, at least it gets pretty close.
In the gameplay walkthrough creative director on Far Cry Primal JC Guyot and Ubisoft Toronto’s creative director Maxime Beland go around Oros taming direwolves and massive cave bears in order to conquer outposts and destroy any enemies that may stand in their way. Dude, you can even throw bees! I wasn’t sure about this Stone Age version of Far Cry but this looks pretty good mainly because of the resources at you could use while playing. So they certainly make up for the lack of advanced weaponry.
Welcome to the Stone Age, a time of extreme danger and limitless adventure, when giant mammoths and sabretooth tigers rule the Earth, and humanity is at the bottom of the food chain. As the last survivor of your hunting group, you will learn to craft a deadly arsenal, fend off fierce predators, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros and become the Apex Predator.
