Clint Eastwood enlists the uber talented Leonardo DiCaprio to star as none other than J. Edgar Hoover in J. Edgar, a biographical film chronicling the life of the little man who liked to wear dresses. Check the trailer and synopsis after the jump:
The film explores the public and private life of one of the most powerful, controversial and enigmatic figures of the 20th century. As the face of law enforcement in America for almost fifty years, J. Edgar Hoover (Leonardo DiCaprio) was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life. Naomi Watts, Judi Dench, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas and Ken Howard co-star.
J. Edgar opens in limited theaters on November 9 before expanding wide on November 11.
Leo is giving me LIFE!
Personally, I’ll go see it only for Leo DiCaprio because he’s one of my favorite actors. The fact that Dame Judi Dench is in it also seals the deal. I’m hoping that Eastwood had the balls to tackle some of the uglier topics in J. Edgar’s life as opposed to running from them.
