Ruh-roh! It looks like Warner Brothers has put the Akira movie on hold again. Why am I totally okay with this?
According to CBM, budgetary constraints have basically postponed the movie and everyone has been sent home. They want to be able to pay all the big wig actors like Ken Watanabe and Helena Bonham Carter, so they need to make some cuts!
Personally, I am happy. I haven’t seen Akira but the casting and plot antics are well known in the Geekaverse. That alone should have halted the film.
Do you think Akira should be scrapped?
