JJ Abrams Acquires Nazi Hunting Drama 'Wunderkind' – Geek Mundo

JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Paramount pictures have acquired the rights to a Nazi hunting drama pitting the young versus old.

Interesting! After ‘Inglorious Basterds’ I’m all about a well-executed Nazi hunting drama. The young and the old chase Nazis in the 1970s while they get to learn about each other and working together:

Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom Inc., and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot today announced that they have optioned the spec script “WUNDERKIND” from writer Patrick Aison. J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk of Bad Robot will produce. H2F’s Chris Cowles and Chris Fenton will executive produce with Brian McCurley serving as associate producer.

WUNDERKIND is an elevated two-handed action/thriller set in the 1970′s following a young Nazi hunter with the CIA and an older Nazi hunter working for the Mossad. The two become reluctantly intertwined in their hunt and shocking twists result.

I can dig this. It will be quite the culture shock. What do you think? Can JJ Abrams pull this off?
