Check out some cool and somewhat revelatory behind-the-scenes images from Universal’s Dracula Untold featuring the ever fine Luke Evans (The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies), Dominic Cooper (Dead Man Down), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Sarah Gadon (Belle). Looking at the images just confirms the fact that Evans is badass as fuck in these roles. He’s killing me softly in that armor too. Have a look:

Almost an entire century after the world’s first cinematic introduction to Dracula placed audiences under his haunting spell, the studio that pioneered the genre reawakens one of legend’s most captivating figures in an action-adventure that heralds a pulse-pounding rebirth of the age of monsters.
Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit series) transforms from the cursed man history knows as Vlad the Impaler to an all-powerful creature of the night in Universal Pictures’ Dracula Untold, the origin story of the alluring immortal we have come to fear as the sun sets: Dracula.
Directed by Gary Shore, Dracula Untold is produced by Michael De Luca. http://www.draculauntold.com
No lie, I’m definitely more concerned about the genre being epic action-adventure, as opposed to horror. That is, uh, troublesome for a movie with the name Dracula in it. I get that it’s probably setting up more Dracula movies considering Universal’s plans to reboot classic horror movie monsters, but I’m still having a hard time with it.
