Real Madrid CF Gets New Likenesses For FIFA 16 – GeekMundo

So earlier we brought you news out of EA about FIFA 16 featuring female players on the cover, and in the game, for the first time ever.  Well, we’ve got more news for ya!  Real Madrid C.F. has joined forces with EA Sports as official video game partner.  This three year partnership brings a lot of cool stuff to the table for gamers, but if you happen to have the luxury (and good fortune) of being able to catch Real Madrid home games, they’ll feature actual gameplay celebrations on the screens at the stadium.

I bet you don’t really care about that, though.  You want to see what Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and the rest of the squad are going to look like when the game drops.  Here’s your sneak peek (Xbox One):

“We’re honored to welcome Real Madrid as an official partner club and the opportunity to bring fans even closer to the team through unique experiences and authentic player likeness in the game,” said Jamie McKinlay, Vice President of Marketing, EA SPORTS. “Real Madrid is one of the most popular clubs in the world and that’s also true within our game; we are looking forward to building a deeper connection with the club in the coming years.”

As part of the partnership, EA SPORTS FIFA 16 will include updated 3D head scans of fourteen of Real Madrid’s most popular players. New player likeness for Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, James Rodriguez, Luka Modrić, Karim Benzema, and others will enhance the authenticity of the FIFA franchise. Fans will also find out which of their favorite stars rules the virtual pitch when Real Madrid players compete in an exclusive FIFA 16 video game tournament later this season. The official FIFA 16 release date is set for September 22, 2015.
