Sure, it’s a long wait before we will all be able to feast our eyes upon Star Wars: Episode VIII, but the film’s director, Rian Johnson, is merciful. He’s shared two new photos from the set of Episode VIII and while they aren’t super detailed, we do get a look at Johnson directing an actor in the cockpit of an X-Wing and a sneak peek at some sort of control panel or control center in what looks like a ship.

It’s not a bad way to head into the weekend, Star Wars fans. Still, don’t expect a wealth of leaked info or “tea” from Johnson or from Lucasfilm Story Group Creative Executive Pablo Hidalgo. They’ve recently confirmed that any leaked script is trash, with Johnson adding that he wouldn’t confirm or deny even the most outlandish theories or questions about the upcoming film.
