Plot synopsis:
In feudal China, a blacksmith who makes weapons for a small village is put in the position where he must defend himself and his fellow villagers.
As an Wu-Tang killa bee for life (and the First Lady of the Wu-Tang Clan in my head…Those were my post high-school dreams), I’m already in. But it got even better when Lucy Liu and Russell Crowe–who is really impressing me as the badass gunslinger–were added. You guys already know, I’m a Quentin Tarantino fan.
RZA, normally one of the go-to guys for sick soundtracks (‘Kill Bill‘), actually wrote the screenplay with Eli Roth and directed the film. I’m not surprised one bit about this because Tarantino and RZA have been friends for awhile. It’s only natural that they would work together. RZA’s an incredibly talented guy too, so I’m hyped to see his vision on screen.
Oh, and fellow wrestling fans, I know you guys didn’t miss former WWE wrestler Dave Batista (Bautista to the old heads like myself). What’s going on with the gold body of his?
I also appreciated that they had no issues with race. Everybody’s in this joint, no matter their race.
