I can’t believe that by the time I started reading Peanuts and watching the specials featuring the exploits of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock and friends it was already over 30 years old. You might be feeling a little old if you’re around my age because that’s a freaking lifetime. I remember watching the specials with my grandparents and my mom when they would come on, especially around the holidays. I was probably just a little under six years old when I started watching them. I’ve seen them so many times but they honestly never get old, and I hope that Peanuts keeps going for another 65 years and more.
Check out this video to watch the progression of this childhood staple as it continues into the 21st century with next month’s release of The Peanuts Movie.
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Charlie Brown, the world’s most beloved underdog, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest, while his best pal, the lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron. From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.
