Yes! Yes! Yes! I’ve been waiting almost two years for Hammer Films’ The Woman in Black: Angel of Death to hit theaters, and it looks like the wait might be over. It’s the sequel to 2012′s The Woman in Black, the film adaptation of Susan Hill’s novel of the same name, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Ciaran Hinds. In the first movie, the vengeful wraith of a wronged woman terrorizes a small, country town and mansion in Victorian England. The trailers were scary, but nothing prepared me for how scared I would feel after seeing it. Being a Hammer horror movie fan, I was not disappointed, and I was really impressed with Radcliffe’s portrayal of the bereaved lawyer having to stay in the mansion while settling the deceased owner’s affairs.
I haven’t kept up with what took so long for the sequel to come about, but I’m glad we’ve got a teaser. Watch:
England, 1941. With London in the midst of the blitz, two teachers evacuate a group of schoolchildren to the abandoned Eel Marsh House. Seeking safety from the bombs in the remote coastal location, the group instead find themselves facing an evil far more frightening when their arrival awakens the Woman in Black.
