I personally would’ve camped out from the night or day before. I’m not standing a line that long. Yet, thousands of people braved the heat and long lines in the Iron Man 3 casting call that took place in NC this weekend. check the video after the jump! The line snaked around the building past the parking lot as people eagerly awaited an opportunity to meet with a casting agent.
The first casting call for Iron Man 3 was held over the weekend at the Crabtree Mall in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Thousands of hopefuls lined up for their chance to star along side the likes of Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson.
The casting company behind “Caged Heat” (IM3 working title), who was also behind the blockbuster movie The Hunger Games, updated their casting request on Facebook with the following, which includes the need for twins. Previously, a request for Chinese descendants was put out, leading to speculation that the Mandarin will play a role.

Seeking: a set of identical twins (can be male or female) between the ages of 12-14 years of age, Artsy and/or eccentric types, computer geeks, Professor types, business professionals (Men & Women), upscale preppy types, those with unusual hair, piercing or facial hair. I would say this Iron Man 3 casting call was a resounding success. If you missed this opportunity, there’ll be another one this weekend if you’re in the North Carolina area.
As a side note, this piece pissed me off. We’re here in Seattle and thanks to our moronic leadership, we don’t get a lot of movies being made out here. UGH! #jealous
