True Blood‘s sixth season may have been a pile of hot garbage unlike any other, but one of the bright points of an otherwise dismal offering was Amelia Rose Blaire‘s Willa Burrell, the rebellious governor’s daughter. According to The Wrap, she’s been promoted to series regular. I really liked Willa’s ability to keep it together. She’s everything Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) should have been, but doesn’t have the balls to be. Moving along…
Did you guys know Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton aka Billith aka Vampire Bill) could sing and was in a Hollywood production of Chicago? I didn’t… Apparently, he’s got quite the acting pedigree. Now, why in the hell do they not show that on True Blood? I won’t even go there. Moyer’s going to be playing Captain Von Trapp in NBC’s The Sound of Music:
NBC’s three-hour production of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic will air Dec. 5, with Carrie Underwood as Maria.
The special will be based on the original 1959 Broadway production, which won the Tony Award for best musical. The 1965 film version, starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Moyer, a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, has spent time with the National Theatre of Wales, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Oxford Stage Company and the Young Vic in England. He has played the lead in “Romeo and Juliet,” among other stage roles.
I’ll watch. I want to hear him sing. Wouldn’t it rock if he released an R&B album? We’ll be working on those scenarios later.
And according to showrunner Brian Buckner, you can expect the same old bullshit to see love triangles and squares (four-way drama), particularly between Alcide, Bill and Sookie. I mean, what does this girl have between her legs? Cocaine? Pure unadulterated happiness? Jesus…
“These are complicated relationships now because they’re feeding — it’s not necessarily sex, but things get confused sometimes, especially in vampires’ minds — so you’re going to be looking at a number of complicated three-way, four-way relationships,” the executive producer revealed.
Which roughly translated into non-BS means “We’ve got nothing.” That’s nice to know… That’s weak.
Word on the street is Lettie Mae (Adina Porter) is actually carrying Hep V and she let Tara feed on her to infect her. All I can say is that I wouldn’t be surprised the writers would hose Tara anyway. You know they don’t like her…
