The extended trailer for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. includes an extra two minutes of footage, as if the previous 30 second teaser didn’t have Whedonites and Marvel geeks chomping at the bit. The trailer also includes a lot of that trademark Whedon humor and of COURSE my baby Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) is back and in full effect.
I am absolutely loving Miss Melinda Man. I see she raided Black Widow’s closet and picked out her own kickass jumpsuit. And of course, I can’t overlook the fact that we might be getting some Luke Cage in the series…
The one thing that made me feel disappointed was the lack of diversity on the show. We have two POCs on the show and that’s it (based on the trailer). I do think it gets kind of old especially because geekdom is so diverse in and of itself. I mean, would it have pained the writers to come up with more than just a few token characters? I guess it’s par for the course, but still a bit disheartening and annoying.
